Dan and Brandi Thompson are lifelong culinary artisans whose passion for great food has deep roots in the Las Vegas dining scene. In 2018, they brought that passion to life by opening D’Agostino’s Trattoria, a heartfelt tribute to Dan’s beloved grandfather. Every dish at D’Agostino’s is crafted with care and the highest quality fresh ingredients, blending authentic Italian tradition with the warmth of family. From treasured recipes passed down through generations to the welcoming atmosphere they’ve created, dining here feels like being invited to the D’Agostino family table.
Dan’s great-grandfather, Giovanni D’Agostino, born Oct. 14, 1882 in Orti, Reggio di Calabria, immigrated to the US in 1904, and proudly became a United States citizen on May 23, 1921. Together with his wife, Santa, he started his family in Canandaigua NY where today many of our “D” family still reside in homes passed down generations. They worked tirelessly to build a life centered on family, love, and tradition. Generations later, the D’Agostino family remains close, continuing many of the cherished Italian customs Giovanni and Santa brought with them from Italy—especially the joy of gathering loved ones around the table for hearty, home-cooked meals. At D’Agostino’s Trattoria, we are honored to share that same spirit of warmth, family, and authentic Italian hospitality with you. That’s why we call our customers, our “Famiglia Estesa,” our extended family.
